Pennsylvania Gaming Revenue Surges 11.4% in July 2025
Pennsylvania's gaming industry experienced a robust July 2025, with total gaming revenue surging to $557.7m, an 11.4% increase year-over-year. This growth was driven by a significant rise in online gaming and iGaming revenue.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) reported that online gaming revenue soared 30.9% to reach $228.2m in July 2025. iGaming revenue also surged, almost one-third compared to the prior year, reflecting strong demand across slots, tables, and online poker. Valley Forge Casino Resort led the way with $88.8m in total revenue, a 19.2% increase, with $61.2m coming from iGaming.
Sports betting revenue, however, slipped slightly, down 0.5% year-over-year to $40.6m, despite a statewide handle of $412.5m. Meanwhile, slot machine revenue in Pennsylvania was $208.5m in July 2025, up 2.1% year-over-year, with Parx Casino topping the list at $30.9m. Rivers Casino Philadelphia generated $57.5m in revenue, up 16.6%, with $37.8m from iGaming. Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course's online revenue reached $87.8m, up 37.2%, and its total revenue hit $103.4m, a jump of 30.1%.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led all operators with $103.4m in total revenue in July 2025. The PGCB also renewed the licenses of Presque Isle Downs and Casino and Hollywood Casino Morgantown, and removed gambling privileges from 18 individuals due to violations of state gaming rules on August 20, 2025.
