Performance of Joxe Benantzi Bilbao Riguero on the Grand Klais Organ in Ingolstadt
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the city of Ingolstadt will be treated to a unique musical experience as internationally renowned organist Joxe Benantzi Bilbao Riguero takes the stage at Liebfrauenmünster for the next SamstagOrgel concert.
Bilbao, known for his concert activity, pedagogical work, and expertise in historical organ restoration, has a distinctive style that seamlessly blends French organ romanticism with Spanish colour and Basque folklore.
This extraordinary event is organised by the Verein Freunde der Musik am Münster e.V., with the support of dedicated volunteers. The concert program promises an enchanting evening, featuring works by César Franck, Jesús Guridi, and Federico Chueca.

Bilbao's exceptional talent has not gone unnoticed, having received awards such as the Honorary Prize of the Conservatorio Superior de Música de San Sebastián and the Andrés Segovia Prize of the Conservatorio Superior de Murcia. His training is equally impressive, having studied under esteemed musicians such as Esteban Elizondo, Montserrat Torrent, Brett Leighton, Javier Artigas, Alberto Blancafort, Michael Radulescu, and André Isoir. He also completed postgraduate studies at the Institució Mila i Fontanals of the CSIC in Barcelona.
