Headline: South East Hesse Police to Conduct Targeted Speed Checks on Autobahn 66 and Other Roads Next Week

Next week, the Traffic Department of the South East Hesse Police Headquarters has announced targeted speed checks on various roads in the region. The focus of these inspections will be on accident hotspots, wildlife crossing areas, and areas with noise protection requirements.

On Monday, November 25, 2024, officers will be monitoring the County Road 903 between Niedermittlau and Rothenbergen, a known accident blackspot, as well as the K 174 between Waldacker and Rodgau-Ring-Straße due to wildlife crossings. The Autobahn 66 at the Bad Soden-Salmünster interchange will also be checked for noise protection, with inspections taking place throughout the day.

On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, the Hammerstraße in Brachttal will be under surveillance due to its location and traffic load. This stretch of road is a known hazardous area in both directions. In addition, speed measurements on the Autobahn 66 will be carried out in the area of the Bad Soden-Salmünster interchange, as well as on Wednesday, Friday, and over the weekend.

Adherence to speed limits plays a crucial role in noise protection on the Autobahn 66. The police will be monitoring the highway sections from the Bad Soden-Salmünster junction towards Lärmschutz between November 30 and December 1, 2024. Motorists are reminded to drive responsibly and within the speed limits to ensure a safe and quiet journey for all road users.
