Flight from Air India to Indore experiences engine trouble, resulting in emergency landing in Delhi.

Plane journey from Delhi to Indore interrupted due to engine blaze warning.

On Sunday morning, Air India confirmed that all passengers were shifted to an alternative flight to Indore, after Flight AI2913, operating from Delhi to Indore, made an emergency return to Delhi Airport due to a fire indication in the right engine.

The aircraft, an Airbus A320neo, was carrying more than 90 passengers at the time of the incident. The flight had been in the air for over 30 minutes before it was required to divert back to Delhi.

A brief technical error led the plane to change sides and lose control momentarily during the landing in Gwalior. The cockpit crew chose to shut down the engine following the fire indication, ensuring the safety of all on board. The aircraft has since been grounded for investigation.

Another Air India flight from Bengaluru experienced a rough landing at Gwalior airport. However, Flightradar24 data indicates that AI2913 took off from Bangalore at 10:50 am and finally landed in Gwalior at 1:30 pm.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has been informed about the incident, and Air India has emphasized passenger and crew safety as its top priority. An alternative aircraft will operate the flight to Indore shortly.

Air India flight AI2913's technical teams are conducting a detailed examination of the aircraft. No further updates regarding the cause of the fire or any impact on future flights have been provided at this time.

The plane landed safely after returning to Delhi Airport, with all passengers disembarking without incident. This marks another incident in the ongoing series of technical issues faced by Air India, highlighting the need for continued focus on maintenance and safety procedures.
