In the past week, several incidents have taken place across Lower Saxony, prompting local authorities to launch investigations.
In Lichtenberg, unknown individuals stole two GPS receivers and three upper link arms from vehicles on an agricultural operation in Hauptstraße between 14.08.25 and 15.08.25. The police in Lüneburg are currently seeking information regarding this theft. Similarly, in Woltersdorf, district Lichtenberg, a suspect has been identified in relation to a similar theft, but their identity has not been disclosed to the public.
Elsewhere, an iPad was stolen from an unlocked Ford Transit on a parking lot in Medinger Street, Bad Bevensen, between 2:00 and 4:00 PM on 08/18/25.
The police in Lüneburg are also investigating a shoplifting incident involving a 38-year-old woman. During the control of the woman in Lüneburg city center on 18.08.25, stolen clothing worth over 300 euros was found.
In another incident, a shoplifter was caught in Bad Bodenteich and is under investigation for robbery after hitting an employee with his elbow during a scuffle.
