Polestar's collaboration with Abbey Road Studios, as expressed by corto.alto, is an "extremely exciting" experience.

Abbey Road Studios, a British music institution, has added a new chapter to its storied history by focusing on jazz and improvisation. This iconic studio, often referred to as a Mecca of British music, recently welcomed Liam Shortall, a multi-instrumentalist and Mercury Prize nominee, to record his music in Studio Two.

Liam Shortall, who is also the winner of the 'Act Of The Year' category at the recent Jazz FM Awards, found inspiration in the hallowed halls of Abbey Road. His band is currently reworking two of his hit songs using Abbey Road Studios Mode presets as inspiration.

Meanwhile, Polestar, the electric performance car brand, has teamed up with Abbey Road Studios and Bowers & Wilkins to create a groundbreaking in-car listening experience. The collaboration has resulted in Abbey Road Studios Mode, a new feature that transforms the Polestar 3's cabin into a mobile sound studio.

Jon Hopkins, a Grammy-nominated artist, was invited to create new music for Polestar's latest over-the-air music update. His work, combined with the 25 strategically placed Bowers & Wilkins speakers in the Polestar 3, aims to place listeners at the heart of the mix.

The Abbey Road Studios Mode is exclusive to Bowers & Wilkins speakers in the Polestar 3. It offers two distinct listening experiences: the Slope preset, which is known for its uptempo, festival-ready, and playful rhythm, inspired the first reworked song, "Energised." The second song, "Latency," was inspired by the Open preset, which invites more space and allows for a slower, more introspective piece.

For over 45 years, Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers have been an integral part of the recording process in Abbey Road Studios. This long-standing partnership has now extended to the in-car sound experience, ensuring that the music produced in these hallowed halls can be enjoyed in the best possible way while on the move.

In an exciting turn of events, the legendary Abbey Road Studios was also the location where Paul McCartney spent a day in 2016, with 26 songs from his discography being re-mastered for the release of the "Pure McCartney" four-CD box set.

The new Polestar portrait series features professional cyclist Demi Vollering and American basketball player Kevin Love. This series showcases the brand's commitment to collaboration and innovation, much like the Abbey Road Studios Mode. Liam Shortall, too, had a positive experience listening to the speakers in the Polestar 3, marking another successful collaboration between these three iconic brands.
