On Friday, September 5, at around 12:30, a collision occurred on the B 254 near Großenlüder, resulting in traffic disruptions.

According to the original content transmitted via news aktuell from Police Headquarters East Hesse, the accident involved two passenger cars: a VW Caddy and a Hyundai. The driver of the VW Caddy, a 19-year-old from Lautertal, was traveling from Fulda towards Lauterbach on the B 254. For unknown reasons, he veered left off the road and collided with the Hyundai, which was traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the Hyundai, a 61-year-old woman from Großenlüder, was coming from the opposite direction.

Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene. As a result, both drivers sustained light injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for examination. The total damage amounts to around 10,000 euros.

The Großenlüder fire department and two units from Fulda Police Station were deployed to the scene, along with two tow trucks and two ambulances. The federal road was completely closed for the accident investigation.

The driver of the VW Caddy has not been identified as the cause of the accident at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
