In the peaceful town of Goslar and its surroundings, a series of incidents occurred over the course of a few days.

On Thursday afternoon, an accident took place on the B 241 between Auerhahn and Goslar. The incident involved a Hyundai car driven by an 80-year-old man from Bad Harzburg. The Hyundai left the road in the Glockenberg curve and overturned, coming to rest on its roof. Remarkably, the driver and his 57-year-old passenger from Bad Harzburg were able to free themselves from the car and were unharmed. The vehicle, however, was a total loss due to the accident. The B 241 was temporarily closed for the accident investigation and recovery of the Hyundai.

Meanwhile, the Goslar district experienced a string of burglaries during the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The tourist information office in Kaspar-Bitter-Straße in Lautenthal was among the targeted establishments. Fortunately, no stolen goods have been reported from the burglary in Lautenthal.

The perpetrators also attempted to break into a restaurant in Wildemanner Straße and a business in Straße An den Teichwiesen in Hahnenklee, but failed in both instances. Burglaries also occurred in Hahnenklee during the same night, and a hotel in Parkstraße in Hahnenklee was among the affected properties.

In addition, a nearby sales stand in Lautenthal was also burglarized. The Police Inspectorate Goslar is handling inquiries related to these offenses and is accepting reports under the telephone number (05321) 3390.
