Police are searching for potential victims and witnesses following a risky overtaking maneuver that led to an Audi accident.

On August 28, 2025, a significant traffic accident occurred on Ole Landstraat in Vollstedt at around 7:30 AM. The incident involved an Audi and a truck.

According to the Flensburg Police Directorate, the Audi driver, aged 21, attempted an overtaking maneuver on a long, curved section of the road. In the process, the driver failed to notice an oncoming car, causing a collision with the truck. This action resulted in the Audi spinning and ending up in the ditch on the right side of the road.

The 21-year-old Audi driver was seriously injured in the accident, while the truck driver, who is 53 years old, remained unharmed.

The police station in Bredstedt is investigating the accident and is seeking the driver or passenger of the oncoming car as a witness. As the person narrowly avoided a head-on collision with the Audi driver, they are considered a crucial witness in the investigation.

The driver or passenger of the oncoming car was travelling in a direction opposite to the Audi, which was heading from L 12 towards Drelsdorf on Ole Landstraat.
