Breaking News: Series of Burglaries Reported in Recklinghausen and Marl

A string of burglaries has been reported in the cities of Recklinghausen and Marl, with the latest updates available on the police's official website at https://recklinghausen.polizei.nrw/ and various social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

On Wednesday afternoon, two apartments on Halterner Straße, Recklinghausen, were burglarized around 1:00 PM. According to the police, jewelry was stolen from both apartments. The burglary on Rheinstahlstraße, Marl, occurred between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, with unknown perpetrators making off with an air rifle and cash.

In both cities, the burglaries involved unknown perpetrators. The police are encouraging anyone with information to call 0800 2361 111.

A witness reported seeing two men in the hallway who might have been involved in the burglary in Recklinghausen. The witness described the first man as approximately 1.65m tall, slim build, with a three-day beard, dressed entirely in black. The second man was also described as approximately 1.65m tall, slim build, with a three-day beard, wearing a short brown pants and a light t-shirt.

The police are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities. They are also conducting residential searches on Halterner Straße in Recklinghausen, but publicly available sources do not identify any person or persons suspected in connection with these searches.
