Police conduct scrutiny on mini motorbikes in Bremerhaven, focusing on their lighting and insurance compliance
In the city of Bremerhaven, the local police force has been conducting targeted checks on small motorcycles over the past few days. These checks, aimed at ensuring roadworthiness and valid insurance coverage, have been a focus for the officers.
On Wednesday, January 29, at 7:04 PM, a motorcyclist in the Stresemannstraße area was apprehended during one such control action. According to reports, the motorcyclist initially tried to flee from the officers but was eventually stopped.
During the checks, officers inspected the technical equipment, including the maximum speed, the functioning of the lighting equipment, compliance with helmet regulations, and the drivers' licenses. However, it is not specified whether this particular motorcyclist was inspected for these aspects.
The motorcyclist was issued a criminal complaint for driving without a valid license, as their young driver's license is only valid from early February.
