Police Enforcement Carries Out Four Warrant Searches

On May 21, 2025, the German Federal Police Inspectorate Ebersbach carried out intensified border controls, resulting in the execution of four arrest warrants.

The first individual apprehended was a 35-year-old Serbian, who was checked on the Friedensstraße in Zittau at 10:00 PM. The Serbian was wanted by the public prosecutor's office in Passau for driving without a license. However, contrary to some reports, he is not the same individual as the 28-year-old Romanian, 62-year-old Czech, or 43-year-old German mentioned earlier.

In a separate incident, a 62-year-old Czech was checked on the same street in Zittau at 3:30 PM. The Czech was wanted for housebreaking and, unable to pay the outstanding fine, was taken into custody to serve a 60-day substitute prison sentence.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old Romanian was checked in Sohland a.d. Spree and was wanted for driving under the influence. However, he paid the fine and was allowed to continue his journey. Similarly, a 43-year-old German was checked on the Rodertal motorway parking lot and was wanted for a violation of the compulsory insurance law. He also paid the fine and was permitted to continue his journey.

It is important to note that the locations of these incidents were distinct. The incident involving the 35-year-old Serbian occurred in Zittau, while the incidents involving the 28-year-old Romanian, 62-year-old Czech, and 43-year-old German took place in Sohland a.d. Spree, Friedensstraße in Zittau, and Rodertal motorway parking lot, respectively.

It is worth mentioning that the 35-year-old Serbian had an outstanding fine of 861.00 euros for 11 days of an original sentence of 25 days at 35.00 euros each, related to his driving offense. However, he paid the total fine and was allowed to continue his journey.

These actions highlight the Federal Police's commitment to maintaining law and order, particularly in border control and enforcement of traffic regulations.
