In the early hours of August 17th, an employee at Dortmund Central Station reported a knife threat by two men, prompting a swift response from the Federal Police. The threat was reported at around 04:35 AM.

The Federal Police Directorate Dortmund, located at Untere Brinkstraße 81-89, 44141 Dortmund, took immediate action and quickly located the suspects. One of the suspects, a 43-year-old, was found with a ready-to-use one-handed knife in his waist pouch during the search. His counterpart, a 34-year-old from Castrop-Rauxel, was cooperative and released at the scene, but his whereabouts are currently being sought by public prosecutors in Münster and Würzburg.

The 33-year-old employee at the station provided a detailed description of the suspects, aiding their apprehension. The older suspect had a breath alcohol level of approximately 1.7 per mille. The younger suspect did not have any alcohol detected in his system.
