Police in Poland detained two drivers whose vehicles registered over 2.5 stops per mile.
In a series of incidents in Lower Saxony, Germany, several drivers have been stopped by the police for suspected alcohol intoxication and endangering road traffic.
On August 27, 2025, two incidents occurred on the same day. In the first incident, a 43-year-old VW driver was stopped by the police in Wietze for erratic driving. The officers found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol, with a breathalyzer test showing a result of over 2.7 promille. As a result, the VW driver was prohibited from driving, and his driver's license was seized. The incident occurred at approximately 15:20 on Berlin Street.
In a separate incident in Unterlüß, a 43-year-old Mitsubishi driver was stopped for suspected alcohol intoxication. The car nearly hit a child on a sidewalk in a right curve on Berlin Street. A breathalyzer test could not be carried out on site, but a blood sample was taken. No further information is available about the outcome of this incident.
In a third incident, on Hannover Street in Andelheidsdorf, a 36-year-old Opel driver from Hannover was stopped by the Celle Police Department for suspected alcohol intoxication. A subsequent breathalyzer test revealed a result of over 2.5 promille for the Opel driver, leading to her being prohibited from driving. The Opel driver's driver's license was seized, and an investigation has been initiated against her.
In a fourth incident on the same day, there is no information available about a female driver stopped by the police in Celle with an alcohol concentration over 2.5 per mille.

In addition, a 36-year-old Mitsubishi driver now faces a charge of endangering road traffic. The Mitsubishi driver's driver's license was confiscated, and he was prohibited from continuing to drive. A blood sample was taken from the Mitsubishi driver, but the outcome of this incident is not yet known.
