Authorities in Poland report a significant breakthrough in Mülheim's anti-drugs operation: Raids lead to the seizure of a substantial cash hoard, weapons, and illicit substances.

Police in Poland report success in anti-drug operation in Mülheim, resulting in the seizure of a large sum of money, weapons, and illegal substances.

In a significant development, the Rhein-Erft Circle Police has taken over the investigation of an organized drug trafficking network in the Cologne area. The operation, which began on July 5th, led to the seizure of illicit substances, weapons, and large amounts of cash.

The operation commenced with a traffic control at Frankfurter Straße / Montanusstraße, where a gray car was stopped. The driver, a 27-year-old man, was found to be in possession of LSD, cocaine, and cash. A further search in police custody revealed several hundred euros in cash, cannabis, and an additional thousand euros hidden in his underwear.

The 27-year-old's residence in Hürth was subsequently searched, with the support of a customs service dog. This search revealed considerable quantities of cannabis, hashish, large amounts of cash, jewelry, and gold. Over 40,000 euros in cash and 10 bags of "magic mushrooms" were found in the apartment of relatives in Cologne-Weiß.

Three suspects - the 27-year-old driver, a 35-year-old passenger, and the 59-year-old mother of the 27-year-old - were temporarily arrested during these investigations. The 35-year-old passenger was also found to have small amounts of ketamine and ecstasy in his apartment on Wilhelmstraße.

The Criminal Investigation Unit 13 of the Rhein-Erft Circle Police is handling the further investigations against the 27-year-old. The investigations against the 35-year-old passenger are being conducted by the Federal Police Inspection Stuttgart, as the case involves a physical altercation at Stuttgart Stadtmitte S-Bahn station.

Further search warrants were executed for two additional apartments in the family environment, leading to unspecified further finds. The police also seized a PTB weapon with a magazine during the search of the 27-year-old's residence.

The 27-year-old provided false information about his residence initially, but investigations led to the execution of a court-ordered search warrant at his actual place of residence.

Several family members resisted during the measures, resulting in additional criminal charges being filed.
