Police in Poland: Street St. Lorenz North

On Monday, September 1st, 2025, a traffic accident occurred in Lübeck, Germany. The incident took place around 17:40 on Richard-Wagner-Straße towards Beethovenstraße.

According to the Lübeck Police Directorate, the driver of a black VW, a 53-year-old man from Ostholstein, was driving erratically. The man first collided with a green Mercedes parked on the side of the road. He then proceeded to hit another parked vehicle, pushing a black Daimler into a white Daimler parked in front of it.

The total damage from the accident is estimated at approximately 50,000 EUR. The black VW and the black Daimler were both completely damaged and towed away.

The 53-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital as a precaution. A voluntary breath alcohol test showed a preliminary result of 1.1 per thousand. The police ordered a blood sample to be taken from the man in the hospital.

The Lübeck Police have initiated an investigation on suspicion of endangering road traffic due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving under the influence of alcohol.

The Richard-Wagner-Straße was closed from 17:45 to 19:15 for accident investigation and towing. The police secured the vehicle key and confiscated the man's driver's license.
