Police in Saskatchewan are currently investigating within a community where the self-proclaimed 'Queen of Canada' live.

In a move to bolster public safety, the Saskatchewan RCMP has increased its police presence in the small town of Richmound, Saskatchewan. Located approximately 445 kilometres west of Regina and north of Maple Creek, Richmound finds itself at the centre of an ongoing investigation.

The RCMP sent out a news release around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, announcing the enhanced police presence. Inspector Ashley St. Germaine of the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Branch is leading the operation, providing updates on the investigation during regular media briefings. The latest significant update was given on September 3, 2025.

While specific details about the nature of the investigation have not been disclosed, it is known that the investigation is taking place in the community where Romana Didulo, the self-proclaimed Queen of Canada, resides. However, the RCMP maintains that there is no known risk to public safety related to the investigation.

The Saskatchewan RCMP will provide an update on the investigation later on Wednesday. For now, residents and visitors in Richmound are encouraged to carry on with their daily activities as usual.
