Police in the region of Swabia North are currently probing the matter of a stolen bicycle
In the city of Augsburg, a series of bicycle thefts have taken place between Saturday, 23rd August and Monday, 25th August 2025. The cases, which resulted in a loss in the mid four-digit range, have been reported to the Police Headquarters Schwaben North and are currently under investigation.
The perpetrators of these crimes remain unknown, and the incidents occurred in different streets: Humboldt Street and Kultur Street. Two bicycles were stolen from each location, with the details of the stolen bicycles in Kultur Street not provided. However, the stolen bicycle in Humboldt Street is a gray/black Cube Nuroad Pro FE gravel bike.
In a separate incident, a blue Cube Mountainbike Nature EXC Trapez and a black/blue Ghost Mountainbike Kato were stolen. The location of these thefts was not an inner courtyard, unlike the bicycle stolen in Humboldt Street, which was locked in such a location.

The timeframe for the bicycle thefts in Humboldt Street spans from 7:00 PM on Sunday, 24th August to 7:30 AM on Monday, 25th August. Meanwhile, between Saturday, 23rd August, 1:30 PM, and Monday, 25th August, 2:00 PM, two bicycles were stolen in Kultur Street.
The loss from the bicycle theft in Humboldt Street is in the high three-digit range, while the total loss from the bicycle thefts in Augsburg remains in the mid four-digit range. The police are now investigating all the mentioned cases for aggravated bicycle theft.
