Police inspectorate Aurich/Wittmund's duty for the days Saturday, 23rd November and Sunday, 24th November, in the year 2024.

In the Aurich District of Germany, several incidents have occurred over the weekend, including cases of vandalism and driving under the influence of drugs.

On Saturday, a 41-year-old man from Rechtsupweg in Marienhafe was found to be under the influence of drugs. According to reports, a truck driver in the same area was also under the influence at around 12:35. Both individuals will face legal consequences, and a blood test was ordered for each.

The vandalism incidents include the outer glass of an estate agency in Oldersumer Straße, Aurich, which was vandalized by unknown perpetrators between 07:45 and 09:00 on Saturday. Another incident occurred at a supermarket on Esenser Straße in Wittmund, where a parked black VW T-ROC was vandalized at the rear between 11:45 and 12:15. The driver responsible for the damage left the scene without settling it.

Additionally, between Friday night and Saturday morning, the glass of a parked car in Riepe, Alter Weg, Aurich District, was vandalized.

A hit-and-run accident also occurred at Am Pferdemarkt, Aurich District, where a black VW T-ROC was vandalized. Witnesses or anyone with information about the responsible driver are asked to call the Aurich Police.

In another incident, a car driver in Osteel was stopped by police at around 12:45 on Saturday and found to be under the influence of drugs. A procedure was initiated against the driver, and a blood test was ordered.

The 28-year-old driver from Osteel will have to face legal consequences for the offence. The driving of both the car driver from Osteel and the truck driver from Marienhafe was prohibited.
