Police officer from The Hague carries out warranted arrest during commute to work
In an event that took place on August 27, 2025, a diligent Hagen Police officer, while on his way to work, recognised a wanted individual on the grounds of a supermarket on Alexanderstraße. The off-duty officer swiftly took action, calling his colleagues to apprehend the man.
The arrest was made by the Hagen Police's civilian deployment unit, and it was later confirmed that the man was wanted for violating the Narcotics Act. Previously, a criminal proceeding had been initiated against him, and an arrest warrant had been issued.
The Hagen Police have a strong online presence, with accounts on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and even a WhatsApp channel. You can find them on Twitter at https://twitter.com/polizei_nrw_ha, Instagram at http://www.instagram.de/polizei.nrw.ha, Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Polizei.NRW.HA, and WhatsApp at https://url.nrw/WhatsAppPolizeiNRWHagen. For press and public relations matters, you can contact the Hagen Police Press Office at [email protected]. The head of the press office is currently unclear, as the head of the press office of the Hagen Police is not explicitly named in the search results. However, PHK Peter Reuters, who took over the press and public relations department leadership in January 2022 in a nearby area (Kamp-Lintfort), is a possible candidate, though there is no direct confirmation he is the head of the Hagen Police press office.
The arrested man, aged 41, will serve a prison sentence of one year and three months. The Hagen Police continue their efforts to maintain a safe and secure city for its residents.
