In the heart of Bocholt, Germany, an unfortunate incident occurred on August 19, 2025, at 16:35, on Theodor-Heuss-Ring / Ebertstraße. An accident involving an 86-year-old Pedelec rider from Bocholt took place.

The Pedelec rider, who was overtaking another cyclist on the Industriestraße bike path, collided with a cyclist who turned left. The Pedelec rider fell and sustained minor injuries. The fleeing cyclist was accompanied by another cyclist during the accident. At the time of the incident, the fleeing cyclist was wearing a green T-shirt and riding a black sports bicycle.

The other cyclist involved in the accident, who did not flee the scene, has already been identified. The Pedelec rider was riding on the Ebertstraße towards the Theodor-Heuss-Ring at the time of the accident.

The police are appealing for the fleeing cyclist to contact the traffic commission in Bocholt, Tel. (02871) 2990. The contact for media inquiries is the Circular Police Authority Borken, and their details can be found at https://borken.polizei.nrw.

However, the search results do not provide any information about the person who rode a black sports bicycle and fled after the accident without fulfilling legal obligations. The police urge anyone with information to come forward to help in the investigation.
