Police report that a motorist lacking avalid driver's license has requested that the authorities turn a blind eye to his unlawful behind-the-wheel activity.

On Monday, September 1st, 2025, a resident of Hagen was driving a VW in Blumenstraße towards Kammannstraße. The incident, which took an unexpected turn, has led to a criminal proceeding against the resident.

According to reports, the resident did not stop for the officers when they attempted to pull him over. Instead, he turned into Kammannstraße, which is not allowed due to Funckestraße. The resident eventually parked against the direction of traffic and exited the vehicle when approached by the officers.

Upon further checks, it was revealed that the resident's driver's license had been revoked about a year ago. This fact alone was enough for the officers to prohibit him from continuing to drive.

The resident argued that he needed his license for work and would get it back soon. However, his request for an exception was denied. The resident also mentioned having a job that requires a driver's license and expressed his intention to pay for the traffic offenses.

Despite his pleas, the resident was taken into custody and a criminal proceeding was initiated against him.
