Police Training Guidance Welcomes New Students to Hagen at Police Vocational School in Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis/Hagen
In Hagen, the Police Department is spearheading a unique training program in collaboration with vocational schools in Bochum and Halver, as well as police departments in Bochum, Märkischer Kreis, Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis, Olpe, and Siegen. This interdepartmental cooperation aims to prepare students for a career in the police force in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).
Known as the "FOS" program, this innovative initiative offers a path into the police service for students with an intermediate school leaving certificate. This year, a total of 58 students, aged between 14 and 30, were officially welcomed at the start of the new academic year at the University of Applied Sciences Südwestfalen in Hagen.
The Police Upper Secondary School in Ennepe-Ruhr-Circle is one of the schools participating in this program, with eight "FOS'lers" in their ranks. These students will benefit from practical content in the daily operations of the various cooperating departments, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future careers.
The Circular Police Department Ennepe-Ruhr-Circle collaborates with local educational authorities and vocational schools to conduct the training of the "FOS'lers." Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive full university entrance qualifications and a guaranteed place at the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration NRW.
The Police Department of Ennepe-Ruhr-Circle wishes their "FOS'lers" success in their start. For more information about the program, please contact the Press Office of the Circular Police Department Ennepe-Ruhr-Circle at Strückerberger Straße 32, 58256 Ennepetal, Telephone: 02333 9166-1200, Mobile: 0174/6310227, Email: [email protected].
This training program is just one example of the commitment of the police departments in North Rhine-Westphalia to nurturing the next generation of police officers. The 551 young people studying at two of the 19 vocational schools this year are a testament to this dedication. As they embark on their journey, they can look forward to a rewarding career in the police force of NRW.
