Politico welcomes Buchsteiner to their team.

Gordon Repinski, the editor-in-chief of the German branch of Politico, has announced a new addition to his team. As of November 1st, Rasmus Buchsteiner will join Politico Germany as the Chief Correspondent in Berlin.

Rasmus Buchsteiner brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as a federal political correspondent for Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (RND) and The Pioneer. Buchsteiner has also worked alongside Repinski in the past at both RND and The Pioneer.

Before his tenure at The Pioneer, Buchsteiner worked as a federal political correspondent for RND. After his time at The Pioneer, he continued his career as a federal political correspondent, but this time for Politico Germany.

Currently, Buchsteiner is employed at the Spiegel's capital bureau, but he will be leaving his position to take on his new challenge at Politico Germany.

Repinski, who has been the editor-in-chief of the German branch of Politico since 2024, is excited about the addition of Buchsteiner to his team. "Rasmus is a seasoned journalist with a proven track record of delivering insightful and accurate reporting," Repinski said. "I am confident that he will be a valuable asset to our team and our readers."

Buchsteiner's role at Politico Germany will be that of a Chief Correspondent in Berlin, where he will cover politics and current events from the heart of the German capital. With his extensive experience and knowledge of German politics, Buchsteiner is well-equipped to provide in-depth analysis and commentary on the latest developments in German politics.

As Buchsteiner prepares to start his new role at Politico Germany, the team is looking forward to welcoming him and benefiting from his expertise. "We are thrilled to have Rasmus join us," Repinski said. "His addition to our team will strengthen our coverage of German politics and ensure that our readers continue to receive the highest quality journalism."
