Prada Unveils Bold and Classic Jewelry Collection

Miuccia Prada, one of the most important jewelry collectors of our time, has debuted the third Prada fine jewelry collection. The collection, which features gemstones like amethyst, aquamarine, citrine, morganite, and peridot, marks the first time these stones have been used in a Prada jewelry collection.

The design process for this collection curved away from tradition but did not bypass it completely. For this collection, the design came first, before the stones were sourced, which is unusual in the jewelry universe. The designs are rendered Prada by the distinct color pairings and the presence of the Prada Cut, a triangular shape echoing the Prada logo.

The distinctive color palette of Prada, often described as the color of sugared almonds, is prominently displayed in this collection. The choice of these particular gemstones is daring, as they were once considered part of the "semiprecious" family outside the emerald, ruby, sapphire, diamond hierarchy.

The collection includes unique combinations of these gemstones, such as aquamarine and peridot in one necklace, morganite and aquamarine in another, a morganite and citrine ring, and peridot and amethyst earrings.
