Prawit Wongsuwan has declined an invitation to join Anutin's cabinet.

In a surprising turn of events, Gen Prawit Wongsuwon, the leader of the Palang Pracharath party, has announced he will not be a part of the cabinet formed by the new Prime Minister of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul.

Despite his decision to step back from the cabinet, Gen Prawit has not ruled out his involvement in addressing the border issues between Thailand and Cambodia. The new government, led by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, is tasked with finding a suitable individual to handle these issues.

Gen Prawit, a former deputy prime minister and defence minister, has stated that he will not accept a ministerial post. However, news reports suggest that he could still be considered for the defence portfolio, despite his decision not to join the cabinet.

The border issues between Thailand and Cambodia are a significant challenge for the new government. Gen Prawit is prepared to contribute to their resolution, offering support from behind the scenes. He is willing to utilize his knowledge, experience, and international security connections if they prove beneficial.

The Palang Pracharath party has shown support for Bhumjaithai leader Anutin Charnvirakul, but Gen Prawit will not be a part of the cabinet being formed by him. This decision does not imply a withdrawal of his support for the new Prime Minister.

Anutin Charnvirakul, the new Prime Minister, has not yet specified who will be assigned to the defence minister post if he becomes the prime minister of Thailand. Regardless, Gen Prawit's support for the new government continues, even though he is not a part of the cabinet.

The focus of attention for the new government is the resolution of the border issues between Thailand and Cambodia. Gen Prawit is prepared to provide the necessary support to ensure a peaceful and amicable resolution. His decision not to join the cabinet does not change his commitment to the well-being of the nation.
