Prestigious Egersdorf Clinches Wanderpokal Victory

The Rangau-Grundschule in Egersdorf has once again proven its remarkable track record in traffic education, as Class 4b, composed of fourth-grade students, emerged victorious in the Youth Traffic School Competition for the second year in a row.

The award ceremony took place on July 31, 2025, in the District of Fuerth, where the children received their well-deserved accolades. Landrat Bernd Obst, the police, and Cadolzburg's second mayor, Dr. Georg Krauß, personally congratulated the winners.

The children of Class 4b, led by Mrs. Bunke, were commended for their outstanding performance in the traffic school. To celebrate their victory, they received medals and a trophy filled with gummy bears, a tradition that has been upheld for many years.

In addition to the prestigious trophy, the winning class also received 100 euros for their class fund. The second and third places were taken by Class 4e/f of the Grundschule Stein and Class 4c of the Grundschule Cadolzburg, respectively.

A total of 1,156 children from 55 fourth grades of 14 primary schools in the district of Fuerth participated in the cycling test. The police were very satisfied with the children's traffic safety during the event and thanked all those involved in this year's Youth Traffic School.

This victory marks another milestone for the Rangau-Grundschule Egersdorf, which has now won the traveling trophy of the Youth Traffic School Competition for two years in a row. The school's dedication to traffic education and the achievements of its students continue to set a high standard for other schools in the district.
