PreventionTour for Senior Citizens Aged 60+ on Safety at Rest Areas - Invitation by Police Osnabrück
The Osnabrück Police Station is inviting cyclists aged 60 and above to participate in their new initiative, "Experience Safety," a cycling project designed to promote road safety and crime prevention.

The first tour is scheduled for 09.09.2025, with 5 spots remaining, and the second tour on 11.09.2025 has 3 spots left. The starting point for the tour on the 11th is the Gretescher Tower / Mindener Straße, while the tour on the 9th will start at Sparkasse car park, Atterstraße 2-4 in the Harbour/Eversburg districts.
Each tour will cover selected Osnabrück districts, focusing on accident and danger spots. The 11.09.2025 tour will continue through Gretesch, Lüstringen, and Darum districts. Participants will learn about road safety and crime prevention during the tours, with two experienced police officers accompanying them.
During breaks, participants will receive valuable crime prevention tips, including securing bicycles, preventing burglary, trick theft, and the grandparent scam. The exchange with participants is encouraged, with the police wanting to both inform and listen. Each tour lasts approximately 2 hours.
