Prince Harry publicly declares a personal contribution of €1.4 million
Prince Harry recently made a significant donation of 1.4 million euros (1.1 million pounds) to the BBC charity "Children in Need". The funds will be directed towards youth initiatives in Nottingham that aim to help young people in areas affected by violence.
During his visit to Nottingham, Prince Harry took time to talk to young people, police officers, and representatives of local initiatives. He visited the Community Recording Studio (CRS) and the organization Epic Partners, expressing his admiration for their work. "The work of these organizations is not only inspiring but also essential," he said.
The BBC charity "Children in Need" is adding an additional 400,000 dollars to the donation, bringing the total additional effect to around 300,000 pounds. The money will flow into safe spaces where trained youth workers can show young people perspectives, build trust, and help them develop their talents.
Prince Harry's commitment to fighting youth violence and knife crime is long-standing, with his efforts spanning almost 15 years. Upon his arrival, he honoured his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II by laying a wreath for the late monarch at Windsor Castle.
This donation marks another step in Prince Harry's ongoing efforts to support young people and create safer communities. The funds are expected to make a significant difference in the lives of many young people in Nottingham.
