In a series of arrests last night, the German Federal Police apprehended two Polish citizens, aged 34 and 37, on the border bridge in Krauschwitz and on the motorway bridge near Görlitz.

The 34-year-old individual was wanted on two active arrest warrants. The first warrant, issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Görlitz last May, was for failing to pay a fine of 1,200.00 euros, imposed by the Weißwasser Local Court for an offence under the Compulsory Insurance Act. The second warrant, issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Cottbus earlier this June, was for failing to pay a fine of 1,800.00 euros, imposed by the Lübben (Spreewald) Local Court for deliberate driving without a driver's licence.

However, the search results do not provide the name of the public constitutional judge who issued these arrest warrants.

The 37-year-old, on the other hand, had an active warrant against them, but it was not related to unpaid fines. The arrest warrant, issued by the Dresden Public Prosecutor's Office eight days ago, was due to a conviction for theft. The Dresden Local Court convicted the 37-year-old for theft in April last year.

Despite the arrest warrant, the 37-year-old was able to settle their debts, and as a result, was not taken to a prison in Krauschwitz like the 34-year-old. Instead, the 37-year-old was allowed to continue their journey.

The arrests were based on the arrest warrants, and the individuals are currently in custody for further proceedings. The names of the public constitutional judges who issued these warrants remain undisclosed.
