In the heart of Flingern Nord district, the residential area around Hohenzollernallee and Röpkestraße, colloquially known as Grafental, came alive with the spirit of carnival. Despite the Grafental building being converted into a health and fitness centre, the annual Jeckes Grafental event continued to be a highlight in the neighbourhood.

The event, initiated by former real estate manager Andreas Mauska and now under the leadership of Peter Jansen as the president of KG Jeckes Grafental in Düsseldorf, attracted a crowd of carnival enthusiasts. The gathering saw the attendance of Prince Andreas I, who is not only the president of KG Regenbogen but also of KG Jeckes Grafental.

The day was filled with entertainment, with Clown Ferdi providing laughter for the young ones and The Fantastic Company setting the mood with their music. The North Lights Burgrave and the Aquila Dance Team added to the festivities, while Heinz Hülshoff, known for getting everyone into carnival mode, was present to perform.

The board of KG Jeckes Grafental successfully recruited 25 new members during the gathering, strengthening the bond within the community. The dance maidens received much applause for their performance and were honoured with the Prince and Princess order.

The humorous early breakfast has become a tradition in the neighbourhood, and this year was no exception. The event concluded with the cheer of "Helau", echoing through the streets of Grafental.

The Ordnungsamt was not present at the event this year, and all necessary permits had been obtained, ensuring a smooth celebration. The neighbourhood's camaraderie, possibly fostered by the Karnevalsgesellschaft Jeckes Grafental, which was founded in 2018, was evident throughout the day.

Information for supporting the website's work can be found on the website. The event also saw the welcoming of new members, who received a welcome drinks crate. The Monheim Prince Guard and their Prince and Princess also visited Grafental, adding to the royal touch of the carnival celebration.

Despite the changes that the Grafental building will undergo, the spirit of the neighbourhood and its annual carnival celebration remain strong. Grafental, though not marked on any city map, continues to be a vibrant and close-knit community, coming together to celebrate the spirit of carnival year after year.
