On September 1, 2025, a shocking event unfolded at Northwestern University. Professor Nina Kraus, a renowned scientist and inventor, was reported missing. Dr. Kraus, who specialises in the biology of auditory learning, was last seen leaving her Evanston home at around 9 a.m. local time.

The Evanston Police Department launched an investigation immediately after the news broke. However, no information has been released yet about the ongoing status of the investigation or any potential suspects or leads.

The missing person flyer described Dr. Kraus as a woman with long silver hair, standing at 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing long pants, a windbreaker, and carrying a dark backpack.

Nina Kraus is an amateur musician as well as a professor at Northwestern University. The university has expressed hope that the community could help find Professor Kraus and ensure her safety.

Despite the ongoing investigation, no further details have been given about the reason for Dr. Kraus's disappearance or her current condition or location.

In an unusual turn of events, the investigation also involved preparing to fly drones along the waterfront of Lake Michigan. However, no additional information has been provided about this aspect of the case.
