In a concerted effort to improve healthcare access, our website is collaborating with its members to spearhead medtech development, testing, and utilisation across diverse populations. This initiative focuses on crucial areas such as pelvic health, maternity care, and mental health.

Recent developments include a petition to the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, aimed at vacating a judgment that could potentially impact patient care negatively. Concerns raised include risks to patient safety, reduced product choices for beneficiaries, and escalating costs.

The Medtech Association, in unison with 67 stakeholder groups, is advocating for a timely, streamlined pathway for Medicare patients to access FDA-authorized breakthrough medical technology. This call was echoed by the website on August 20, 2025, in collaboration with patient groups and state medtech associations.

On a similar note, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) was urged to rectify "serious flaws" in its proposed rule to restart competitive bidding for durable medical equipment in Medicare, as stated by the website on August 28, 2025.

In an effort to bridge the gaps in women's health access and reimbursement, the Global Women’s Health Alliance, the organisation behind a whitepaper with the same title, has explored disparities in women's health research, innovation, and access to care. This report, commissioned by our website and conducted by Health Management Associates (HMA), delves into research funding, insurance claims data, Medicare policies, and coding structures.

The report, titled "Bridging the Gaps in Women's Health Access and Reimbursement," sheds light on areas where reimbursement and access may lag for women in these health sectors. A policy suggested in the report allows for a medical exception to cell phone bans during instructional hours for diabetes monitoring in schools.

In addition to these initiatives, the website has a resource page dedicated to News/ Coverage, Diagnostics, Digital Health, Government & Legislative Affairs, and Health Access. Furthermore, a virtual workshop series on improving diversity in clinical trials was held in collaboration with Meharry Medical College.

Lastly, an Op-ed published by the website in The Washington Times highlighted the pivotal role of medtech in the Trump administration's "Make America Healthy Again" initiative. The article underscored the potential of medtech to revolutionise healthcare and improve access for all.
