Proposal for a Worker Radiation Safety Directive Requested by the Commission Due to Radiation Exposure Risks

On Saturday, August 30, the city administration will be removing a fallen maple tree located at the intersection of Neuehofer Straße and Platzhof-Straße. The tree has become unsafe due to damage caused by a lightning strike.

The felling works will temporarily reroute traffic approaching Platzhof Street from Berger Street. Motorists and cyclists will be directed to take an alternate route via Neuenkamper Street, Straße Neuenhof, and Berger Street. This rerouting does not affect the traffic flow on Berger Street or any house numbers on Neuehofer Street, including numbers 15 and 17.

However, the rerouting and the closure of the outer lane of traffic at house numbers 15 and 17 may impact pedestrians on Neuehofer Street. The sidewalk at these locations will also be closed during the felling works.

It is important to note that this is a temporary measure during the felling works, and the rerouting of traffic is not a permanent change to the road network. The completion of the work on the same day does not imply a faster or slower progress than initially anticipated.

The felling of the tree is a response to the instability caused by the lightning strike. The tree requires felling due to the damage it has sustained. The affected locations are Neuehofer Straße at the height of Platzhof Straße, and house numbers 15 and 17.

Motorists and cyclists approaching from the city center will temporarily not be able to turn left into Platzhof Street due to the works. Traffic coming from Platzhof Street towards Neuehofer Street will also be affected by the rerouting.

The city administration encourages residents and commuters to plan their travel accordingly and to follow the signs and instructions of the traffic management personnel during the works. The safety of all individuals is the top priority.
