In the bustling city of Gießen, officers from the Regional Traffic Service conducted a series of speed checks on Licher Straße. A total of 41 vehicles were checked, and unfortunately, 14 of them were found to be speeding. One driver, in particular, was caught exceeding the limit by a significant 22 km/h.

As a result, the driver received a fine of 115 euros, a point in Flensburg, and will have a point added to their driver's license. Another driver, the owner of a seized e-scooter, was found to be driving at an alarming 82 km/h. Upon arriving at the scene in his car, he was issued a fine of 260 euros, 2 points, and a one-month driving ban.

The e-scooter was seized due to repeated traffic offenses committed by its riders, including riding on the sidewalk. Despite repeated requests from the officers, the young riders continued to commit traffic offenses, such as riding in pairs or threes and on the sidewalk.
