Proposal requested for a worker safety directive regarding radiation exposure risks submitted by the Commission.

In a shocking incident that took place on August 27, 2025, in Hagen, Germany, a 35-year-old man was attacked by two brothers, aged 40 and 42, at a parking lot in Weststraße.

The altercation began at a bus stop, where the 35-year-old Hagen resident was waiting for a bus. The brothers, who were wielding a Barber-Pole, attacked the man, causing him minor injuries. The 35-year-old tried to take cover behind a vehicle but was still assaulted.

The 35-year-old man was subsequently found to have drugs in his system, leading to a criminal complaint for bodily harm, insult, and threat. A drug test confirmed the positive result, and he was required to provide a blood sample. Additionally, a complaint for driving under the influence of drugs was filed against him, as the car involved in the incident did not have valid insurance.

The 40-year-old brother made contradictory statements about who was driving the vehicle, but the 42-year-old brother claimed to have been behind the wheel, despite not having a valid driver's license. This led to a separate criminal complaint for driving without a license and violating the compulsory insurance law. The 42-year-old brother also behaved disrespectfully and attempted to reach the patrol car where his brother was, further escalating the situation.

Both brothers are now under investigation for dangerous bodily harm. The investigations are ongoing, and the police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

The police president of Hagen responsible for the investigations is Ursula Tomahogh. She took over as police president in Hagen on August 27, 2025, with Ursula Schönberg serving as police director since May 5, 2025, under her leadership.
