Municipal and Integration Council Elections: Voting Information
The municipal and Integration Council elections are fast approaching, taking place on a date to be announced in 2025. These elections will determine the representatives for various positions, including the city council, county council, the mayor, and landrat/landratin, as well as the members of the integration council.
To participate in the elections, you must meet the eligibility criteria. Typically, this includes being a resident aged 16 and over with German or EU citizenship, and having had your main residence in the municipality/district for at least 16 days before the election. Additionally, for the Integration Council election, you must have foreign roots or a foreign passport.
If you are eligible and wish to vote by mail, applications are now available for both the municipal election and the Integration Council election. You can submit your application through the provided link.
For those who prefer to vote in person, on-site voting will be available at the town hall, Room 101, Cologne Street 75. Office hours for on-site voting are as follows:
- Monday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
- Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Thursday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (until 3 PM on September 12)
Please note that it is important to apply for mail-in voting only for the election you are eligible to participate in.
Starting August 5, 2025, mail-in voting materials can be applied for and votes can be cast on-site at the town hall, Room 101, Cologne Street 75. For more information and updates on the elections, stay tuned to official news channels.
