In the ongoing white-ball series against New Zealand A, Rubin Hermann once again stole the show with a stunning performance in the second match.

Coached by Duane Vermeulen, who transitioned from player to coach after the 2023 Rugby World Cup, the South Africa A team was off to a strong start. However, fellow opener Rivaldo Moonsamy was dismissed early in the seventh over of the innings.

Despite this setback, Hermann and his younger brother Jordan, who has also been in excellent form, took the lead. Rubin Hermann's innings today is his highest total in List A cricket, scoring a century in the 50-over match.

Hermann reached his 50 off just 42 balls, setting the tone for an unforgettable performance. He went on to score a magnificent 109 runs off 98 balls, accounting for 68.4% of the team's total runs in the match. This innings is not only his second consecutive century for South Africa A but also his second consecutive century in the series.

Jordan Hermann, on the other hand, finished the match unbeaten on 101, and together, the brothers put on a match-winning partnership, scoring 154 runs between them. Their combined total of 267 runs so far in the series is a testament to their formidable batting partnership.

Meanwhile, New Zealand A struggled to keep up, with Tshepo Moreki taking four wickets for the opposition. Moreki's impressive bowling performance included three of the top four batsmen, but it was not enough to prevent New Zealand A from being bowled out for 248.

With Rubin Hermann's stellar performance and the consistent form of his brother Jordan, the South Africa A team is poised for success in the rest of the series. The next match promises to be an exciting encounter, as both teams look to secure a win.
