Pupils honored for achievements in piano playing

In an exciting development for the world of music, 12-year-old My Anh Dinh from Hans-Carossa-Gymnasium has been accepted into the prestigious Young Academy talent program at the Munich Music University.

The Young Academy talent program offers a wide range of courses, including piano, singing, music theory, ear training, and youth lectures, all designed to nurture and develop young musical talent. However, it's important to note that My Anh Dinh will not be receiving any scholarships as part of the program.

My Anh Dinh's acceptance into the program is scheduled to begin in the winter semester of 2025/26. This achievement follows a series of successes for young musicians in the region, including the wins of Lea Marie Werner and Charlotte Frohnholzer.

Lea Marie Werner, a 13-year-old, recently won first prize at the "Five Lakes Youth Music Competition" in Gilching. Meanwhile, Charlotte Frohnholzer, an 8-year-old prodigy, competed in the Steinway Competition finals in Hamburg and took fourth place.

Charlotte Frohnholzer also participated in the "Munich Piano Platform" in May and was awarded scholarships. These scholarships enable her to perform in concerts or attend piano courses.

It's worth noting that My Anh Dinh's participation in the Young Academy's talent program is not related to the Steinway Competition or the "Munich Piano Platform". Furthermore, her participation in the program will not replace her regular lessons at the Landshut Music School.

In addition to her piano studies, My Anh Dinh will also be attending courses in singing and music theory as part of the Young Academy's talent program. The summer semester 2025/26 at the Munich University of Music (Mรผnchner Musikhochschule), where My Anh Dinh will be supported, typically starts in mid-to-late March or early April, but no exact date for 2025/26 is available at this time.

My Anh Dinh's success is yet another testament to the thriving musical scene in the region and the promising future of its young talents. The "Five Lakes Youth Music Competition" took place in Gilching in July, and while My Anh Dinh did not win any prizes, her acceptance into the Young Academy's talent program is a significant achievement in itself.
