Qantas airline uniforms to be redesigned by Rebecca Vallance
In 2027, Australian airline Qantas will introduce a new uniform design, marking the end of the current design by Martin Grant, which was introduced in 2014. This redesign will play a significant role in ushering in the next era for Qantas.
The new uniform is intended to reflect the Qantas spirit worldwide and celebrate the people who work for the airline. Qantas is proud to be working with Australian fashion designer Rebecca Vallance on this project, who aims to create an iconic yet wearable uniform that celebrates the unique identity of the airline.
Rebecca Vallance, a celebrated designer, has joined a prestigious list of past designers who have worked with Qantas on its uniforms, including Peter Morrissey, Yves Saint Laurent, George Gross, Harry Who, and Emilio Pucci.
For Vallance, the Qantas uniform redesign project is a significant milestone in her career. She has gathered feedback from Qantas's 17,500 uniformed workforce regarding durability, functionality, and comfort for the new uniform design.
The new uniform redesign is a collaborative journey, with Qantas's people playing a crucial role every step of the way. Qantas is proud to incorporate the feedback gathered from its employees in the redesign process, ensuring that the new uniform truly represents its team.
The new uniform will mark Qantas's first major uniform overhaul in more than a decade. Qantas is excited to celebrate its people with this new uniform and looks forward to the launch in 2027.
