QT's revenue increases in Q2, reveals plans for constructing QTI Cloud Platform
QT Imaging Reports Record Revenue and Launches QTI Cloud Platform
In a significant move for the medical imaging industry, QT Imaging has announced its second-quarter financial results for the 2025 fiscal year. The company has reported a record revenue of $3.7 million, marking a substantial increase compared to the same quarter last year.
The revenue growth was primarily driven by the shipping of eight QT Imaging Breast Acoustic CT scanners. This shipment, combined with the additional two units dispatched in July, has bolstered the company's sales figures.
Subscription fees generated by the QTI Cloud Platform are expected to be a "meaningful new source of recurring revenues" for QT Imaging. The platform, which aims to provide subscribers with access to a growing portfolio of AI-driven tools, is designed to automate findings classification and deliver consistent second-read decision support.
The QTI Cloud Platform uses a tiered software as a service (SaaS) delivery model, offering flexible subscription options to cater to various user needs. From the third quarter of 2025, QT Imaging plans to provide access to the QTI Cloud Platform with this delivery model, further expanding its revenue streams.
Despite the impressive revenue growth, QT Imaging reported a net loss of $4 million for the second quarter of the 2025 fiscal year. The majority of the net loss was due to a change in the fair value of warrant liability.
The revenue increase for the second quarter of 2025 was 113% compared to the second quarter of 2024. It's worth noting that the revenue also saw a 31% increase compared to the first quarter of 2025, indicating a steady growth trend.
QT Imaging's strategic initiative to build its QTI Cloud Platform is a testament to the company's commitment to leveraging AI technology to improve healthcare outcomes. The company's focus on automation and decision support is expected to revolutionise the medical imaging industry, making it more efficient and accurate.
As QT Imaging continues to innovate and grow, it is poised to make a significant impact in the medical imaging sector, offering advanced solutions to healthcare providers worldwide.
