Gießen-West Elementary School, established in 1971, has completed a comprehensive modernization in recent years, culminating in the renovation of its main building. This significant transformation was marked by the inauguration of the first part of the building by City Councilors Astrid Eibelshäuser and Francesco Arman.

The school's main building was rebuilt down to the basic structure and updated for energy efficiency and technology.
