As the city grapples with the ongoing pandemic, Almaty Akimat has been emphasising the importance of mask usage, social distancing, and personal hygiene measures for residents and guests. Entrepreneurs are urged to strictly comply with safety requirements to prevent illness among workers and potential suspension of business operations.
In 2020, a total of 3149 events were held, covering 21,590 objects. During this period, 5182 protocols were issued for non-compliance with restrictive measures. Of these, 4776 were issued to physical persons, totaling 199 million tenge, while 406 were issued to legal entities, amounting to 134.1 million tenge. This year, 85 more protocols totaling approximately 10 million tenge have been issued.
Violations of quarantine measures were found on 74 objects this year, but there is currently no publicly available information detailing which organizations in Almaty were closed and fined by the city administration in recent months for repeated violations of safety regulations and pandemic measures. There is also no reference to a minimum closure period of 1.3 months.
In an effort to enforce these measures, 32 monitoring groups are operating in an enhanced format across the city. The Almaty city court has issued decisions to impose a fine of 100 MCI with a suspension of activity for 1.3 months on 18 entrepreneurs.
As the city moves forward, it is crucial for both residents and businesses to prioritise safety and adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Almaty Akimat to ensure a continued and healthy environment for all.
