In the ongoing Ocean Race Europe, the IMOCA fleet has commenced the final leg from Genova, Italy, heading towards the finish line in Boka Bay, Montenegro. The French boat Biotherm, skippered by Paul Meilhat, continues its commanding lead in the race, having amassed 41 points so far and remaining unchallenged in the lead.

Meanwhile, Ambrogio Beccaria's Allagrande Mapei Racing has made a strong comeback, overtaking Team Malizia and securing the second position in the overall ranking. This victory comes after a home win for Allagrande Mapei Racing in Genoa during the Ocean Race Europe.

However, Team Malizia's journey has not been as successful. During stage four, the team, led by Boris Herrmann, made a mistake by failing to tack to the scoring gate off Monaco after the start. As a result, they have fallen back to fifth place in the overall ranking, with the Swiss team Holcim-PRB currently in third place with 28 points. Paprec Arkéa follows closely behind with 29 points, placing them in second position.

Despite the setback, Herrmann has expressed his dislike for losing and his intention to perform better in the next stage of the Ocean Race Europe. He admitted a self-critical mistake during stage four and has promised to learn from it.

The Ocean Race Europe, a sailing competition, has stages, with the recent completion of stage four. The remaining teams are currently navigating their way south towards the Strait of Bonifacio. On this leg, Team Malizia, still at sea, didn't sail far enough west and missed the connection to the leading quartet in decreasing winds.

As the race continues, the competition remains intense, with Biotherm Racing holding a strong lead and the rest of the teams vying for the remaining podium positions. The next stage of the Ocean Race Europe is yet to be announced, promising more excitement and challenges for the sailors.
