Ram Charan journeys to Hyderabad, embraces Allu Arjun during grandma's funeral ceremonies

In the early hours of Saturday, Allu Kanakaratnam, the 94-year-old grandmother of popular Telugu actor Allu Arjun, passed away due to age-related ailments. Her passing has left a profound impact on the Allu-Konidela family and the Telugu cinema industry.

Ram Charan, another prominent member of the Allu-Konidela family, travelled from Mysore to attend the last rites. Ram Charan, who is the first cousin of Allu Arjun, cancelled the shooting of his film Peddi upon hearing the news.

Upon their arrival at Allu Aravind's residence in Hyderabad, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun met and shared a heartfelt moment, as captured in a viral video. Ram Charan was seen hugging Allu Arjun before entering the house.

During the last rites, Ram Charan carried Allu Kanakaratnam's body on his shoulders, a poignant and moving gesture that reflected the deep bond they shared. A paparazzi video of Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and Chiranjeevi serving as pallbearers has since surfaced on Instagram.

Chiranjeevi, a respected member of the Allu-Konidela family and a prominent figure in Telugu cinema, also penned his condolences on social media. Naga Babu Konidela, actor and Janasena Party's Andhra Pradesh General Secretary, expressed his condolences to the family. In a heartfelt message, Naga Babu offered his support to the grieving family.

Allu Kanakaratnam's body was carried out on a bed made with bamboo, wrapped in white cloth, in a traditional funeral procession. The parents of Allu Arjun, Allu Aravind and an unnamed mother, were also present at the ceremony.

As the Telugu cinema industry mourns the loss of Allu Kanakaratnam, her legacy will continue to live on through her grandchildren, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun, and the impact they have on the industry.
