In the ever-popular ITV2 reality show, Love Island, the competition for love and a cash prize has seen many winners over the years. Here's a look at some of the notable winners and a bit of drama surrounding one of the contestants.
The first series of 2023 was won by Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan, following in the footsteps of Jess Hayes and Max Morley, who triumphed in 2015. In the second series of All Stars, it was Gabby Allen and Case O'Gorman who took the crown.
In 2018, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer claimed the title, with Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde winning in 2016. Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies were the winners in 2017, while Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague were runners up in Series 5.
The first ever All stars spin off show was won by Molly Smith and Tom Clare, and the first ever winter Love Island was won by Paige Turley and Finn Tapp. More recently, Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu won the show in 2022.
However, the drama doesn't always end when the series does. Jacques O'Neill, who rose to fame when he appeared on Love Island in 2022, has been making headlines for his personal life. After initially finding love with Ellie O'Donnell, the couple has recently split.
Jacques and Ellie were last seen together in Manchester's Sexy Fish eatery in the summer of 2022, but since his exit from the show, Jacques has been in a relationship for almost three years with an unnamed partner. Despite this, Jacques and Ellie are no longer following each other online.
Ellie, a social media influencer and one half of the O Dolls with her sister, has been open about the breakdown of her relationship with Jacques, who struggled with the split on Love Island. Jacques later admitted he struggled with his mental health and ADHD.
The summer 2023 Love Island was won by Jess Harding and Sammy Root, with the summer series of 2024 seeing Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan take the title. The summer series of 2025 was won by Toni Laites and Cach Mercer.
