Rebbe of Belz admitted to hospital
In recent news, two prominent Jewish leaders, Rabbi Yissachar Dov Rokeach and Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh, have been admitted to hospitals.
Rabbi Yissachar Dov Rokeach, the Rebbe of the Belz hasidim, is currently being treated at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem. Accompanied by his close aides, he spent Shabbat (Sabbath) at the hospital and is expected to undergo surgery early next week. The Rebbe's condition has reportedly been causing concern among the Belz hasidim.
The official notice issued to the community confirmed that Rabbi Yissachar Dov Rokeach had undergone a series of tests. The nature of his injury is not publicly known, but it is reported that he sustained a broken leg.
Meanwhile, Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh, the son of Yuta Hena and the Gerrer Rebbe, is also in the hospital. Unlike Rabbi Yissachar Dov Rokeach, there is no publicly available information about any injuries Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh may have sustained before his admission. The public is asked to pray for his well-being.
The Gerrer Rebbe, who resides in the Jerusalem-area community of Ora, sustained a broken arm approximately two weeks ago. Despite this, he has not yet resumed receiving visitors ahead of the High Holidays.
In other news, two Hasidim were shot on their way to Joseph's Tomb, and a group of young Hasidim were indicted for digging a tunnel under 770. Additionally, there have been reports of the Belz hasidim pushing to close a major haredi newspaper.
An engineer authorized the bleachers for a specific event, but they were later added to by unidentified parties, causing concerns about safety.
As always, we encourage our readers to stay informed and pray for the well-being of our community leaders during this challenging time.
