Reborn restaurant outside Geppo city center now houses Gray enthusiasts' residence

In the heart of Alessandria, at the intersection of Via Rapisardi and Via Bellini, a beloved establishment has been reborn. Osteria La Busina, the reincarnation of Osteria FuoriCentro, opened its doors on September 5th at 6:30 PM, marking a significant moment for the city's residents.

The name of the osteria is inspired by Gelindo, a comedy in which Geppo, a historical fan of the greys, played one of the Three Wise Men. The mural near the entrance of the Gradinata Nord and Osteria La Busina pays homage to Geppo, featuring a quote from him, "Thirty minutes of greys well done and we're off," with the addition "Geppo lives." This mural is a testament to the enduring spirit of a man who made Geppo's osteria a popular meeting place for Alessandria fans.

The decorations of Osteria La Busina also pay homage to local figures, such as Umberto Eco. The chef working at the osteria is Chef Gianluca Gasparini, whose culinary skills promise to deliver traditional cuisine of Alessandria.

Ezio Repetto, Geppo's brother, has been instrumental in the reopening of Osteria La Busina. With a background in racing and vintage cars, Ezio dedicated the last three months to this project, ensuring that the osteria would not only be a reference point for football fans but for the people of Alessandria as a whole.

Artists Pakie, Sandrine, and Villavecchia were responsible for painting the mural depicting Geppo's profile at the intersection of Via Rapisardi and Via Bellini. The mural, with its poignant quote, serves as a reminder of Geppo's love for the greys and his enduring impact on the city of Alessandria.
