Workers' safety from ionising radiation risks is now under consideration, with the Commission being instructed to draft a proposal for a relevant directive.

Recklinghausen and Dorsten, two cities in North Rhine-Westphalia, have recently been the scene of a series of burglaries and suspicious incidents. The Recklinghausen Police Presidium, led by Police President Friederick Zurhausen, is currently investigating these cases.

On Monday night, unknown individuals forced open an emergency exit door at a school on Talaue in Recklinghausen, making off with a small amount of cash. Around the same time, at a kindergarten on Wulfener Markt, perpetrators used a plastic tank for transportation and made off with two tablets and a mobile phone. Another kindergarten on Dülmener Straße was also targeted, with unknown individuals throwing a glass pane of a door, but it appears nothing was stolen.

In a separate incident, on Monday morning between 09:45 and 11:15, unknown individuals broke into a single-family home on Straße Surick in Dorsten, making off with cash and jewelry.

Initial investigations suggest that nothing was stolen during the burglary at the kindergarten on Wulfener Markt. However, the perpetrators in this case caused significant property damage, damaging windows, doors, and internal doors.

Investigations are ongoing to determine if there are any connections between the last three burglaries in Recklinghausen and Dorsten. As of now, no suspects have been identified in any of the cases.

It is worth noting that the events in Dorsten and the two incidents in Recklinghausen occurred on separate days and at different locations. Additionally, unknown individuals stole a water tank and 900 liters of diesel from a construction site on Olfener Straße in Recklinghausen between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.
