New Elevator at Schlossufer Makes Aschaffenburg More Livable

Aschaffenburg, Germany, has received a significant boost to its accessibility with the addition of a new elevator at Schlossufer. Operational since January 14, 2025, the new elevator has been a smooth and reliable addition to the city's infrastructure.

Mayor Jürgen Herzing and Annette Schroeder-Rupp, head of the Office for High-Rise and Building Management, were present at the event to welcome the 100,000th passenger on the new elevator. The honor of being the 100,000th passenger went to Stacy Kuhn, who was photographed with the mayor and Annette Schroeder-Rupp to commemorate the occasion.

The new elevator has made access to Schlossufer easier for all residents and visitors, contributing to making Aschaffenburg more barrier-free. The location of the new elevator, at Schlossufer in Aschaffenburg, has proven to be a real asset to the city.

Mayor Herzing expressed his delight about the new elevator, stating that it has made Aschaffenburg a bit more livable. Annette Schroeder-Rupp also expressed her satisfaction, noting that the new elevator has been operating smoothly since its installation.

In addition to the 100,000th passenger event, the state's castles and gardens administration employee, Martina Seitz, also undertook a trip in the new elevator. As a token of appreciation for her 100,000th trip, she received a bouquet of flowers, a bottle of Pompejaner, and two theater tickets.

The new elevator at Schlossufer has been in operation for approximately 3 months as of the date of the event, and it has already proven to be a valuable addition to the city. Aschaffenburg residents and visitors can look forward to continued ease of access and a more barrier-free experience at Schlossufer, thanks to the new elevator.
